Proofreading and Copyediting Rates

With an estimated pace of 7-10 pages per hour (depending on type of content) my proofreading rates are as follows.

Ten or more pages:

• $ .02 per word – nonfiction
• $ .03 per word – business / sales
• I require a 50% deposit to begin. The rest is due upon completion of the work.

Fewer than ten pages:

• $35 per hour – nonfiction
• $45 per hour – business / sales
• one hour minimum
